Hi! My name is Vova, and I'm from Russia.
This was my very first cosplay. I chose the Doom Slayer because I've been playing every DOOM game since I was a kid, and I think DOOM (2016) is the best game in the series.
I built this cosplay last year for Igroprom, a Russian festival dedicated to cosplay and game developers.
There is no editing on first photo—the lighting and the dark interior just worked out really well.
The armor was made mostly from EVA foam, with a lot of 3D-printed parts. I printed the parts in PETG, and the total weight of the costume, including the helmet, is about 24 kg (53 lbs). The helmet itself is a cast polyurethane piece.
A lot of people came up to take photos with me, and I received many compliments about the costume. Unfortunately, I didn't win any major awards at the festival, but the positive reaction from visitors meant a lot to me.
One of my dreams is to take part in Comic-Con in the United States someday.
