About a week ago, I posted asking if I should keep looking for a dress for my 30th birthday, and I ended up finding a couple more options!
I currently have two dresses that I can return if I decide against them, plus I found a black dress in my closet i forgot I owned.
The theme for my party is “funeral of my youth ”, so the dress code is black cocktail attire.
The party will start at a cocktail lounge, and afterward we’re heading to some clubs for dancing, so I’m trying to find something that feels like it works for both parts of the night.
I’d love some opinions on which dress you think fits the theme or just looks the best.
Which one would you pick if you were me?

Edit: thanks so much for all the responses, I am definitely between dress 1 and 2. If a wardrobe change doesn’t work before we hit the clubs, I will let my husband pick between them because I just can’t lol

Turning 30 in a few weeks. We are doing a “Funeral of My Youth” birthday party at a cocktail lounge, then going dancing after.
I originally wanted a dramatic black maxi, but after regrettably buying an expensive one on poshmark that is far too big, I went and tried more on in person. After trying a bunch on, I realized the maxi dressed all overwhelmed my frame.
My husband loved this mini, so we bought it (the mesh sash can be styled a few different ways).
Now I’m second-guessing it because I wanted something with an asymmetrical neckline and I’m worried a simple black mini won’t stand out enough for my 30th.
Would you keep this or keep looking? If I keep it, how should I accessorize? I was thinking about getting mesh black elbow length gloves, a black chocker with a crystal cross and layering it with a crystal necklace to make it more on theme.
Should I keep these shoes or use it as an excuse to buy new black heels? (These ones are like 7 years old at least)
