Hi! I’m wearing the Ivy Dress by Delfi to a black-tie event and need help choosing shoes. I’m 6 feet tall (me in center photo), and the dress is 64 inches long, so I’m worried that heels will make it look awkwardly short (the dress currently grazes the floor but wi the no drag).
The event is outdoors on gravel 🥲, and I’ll be on my feet a lot, so thin or pointy heels probably aren’t practical. Would flats be appropriate for black tie with this dress? If so, what style and material should I look for? I’m just struggling to envision the whole look right now (I like the whimsy of the dress and I could maybe lean into that? Idk.) I’m also open to other shoe suggestions. Thank you in advance!
