My Black Waltz No. 3 cosplay from Final Fantasy IX!
The coat is made from microsuede. The skirt is made of both canvas and twill. The pants and shoes are made from burlap. The wings are constructed from PVC pipe and moved by a pulley system, with every feather hand-painted, individually cut, and individually attached. The staff is also made from PVC pipe and EVA foam.
This was a 520+ hour project, with 245 hours spent on the articulated wings alone. This was my first time making anything of this scale, and I learned a ridiculous amount along the way. Seeing people recognize the character and share their love for FFIX made all those hours worth it.
